Will 5000 sit ups help shape my stomach?!

Question: Will 5000 sit ups help shape my stomach!?
I know this sound like a crazy question but just hear me out i weigh 215 pounds when i used to weigh 240 I lost the weight from tons of cardio and a little weight lifting i am 6 feet tall and i am a 20 year old male because of the fact that i still have allot of stomach fat to get rid of i do not know if i should still be focusing on cardio or trying to do some sit ups to help shape my gut up!.

I was thinking along with my cardio !.if i do 1000 sit ups Monday through Friday and take Saturday and Sunday
would that help shape up my stomach a bit!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Doing sit ups right now isn't going to help you right now!. Doing stomach excersizes will give you a six pack or build your muscles there, however it will be hidden under your stomach!. Right now what you need to do is cardio cardio cardio!. Watch what you eat, you don't have to change your eating habits over night!. I dont know your specific diet, the best thing to do is limit soda, not eat fast food, dont let yourself be fooled by subway either!. While they do have very healthy and delicious sandwiches, some are just as unhealthy and have as many calories as a double quarter pounder(meatball marinara my favorite)!. Good luck with your weightloss goals!.

Edit!.
I saw someone question whether you could that many situps!. Yes you can if you push yourself!. You would be breathing very hard and that alone might stop you!. But you theoretically do have an unlimited amount of energy!. After your body burns off your energy, your body turns to burning fat for energy!. I experienced this for the first time about a week ago during kickboxing!. Halfway through it i felt exhausted and wanted to stop, i slowed down a little and then all of a sudden i just felt an energy rush!. It felt great i even picked up the pace and wasn't that tired!. So yes you can work out for as long as you want, it's all about having the mindset that you can!. However you shouldn't do this if your just getting back into shape, you need to work up to it!. If you train to hard when your out of shape you can get shin splits!. Just take your time ease into it!. It took you a few years to get that big, it could possible take you the same amount of time to lose the weight healthily!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Doing so many sit-ups will probably do more harm than good!. Maybe you start by doing one hundred sit-ups a day!.

While doing sit-ups will tone up your abdominal muscles, you won't have a visible sixpack until you get rid of the layer of fat covering it!. Only regular exercise and a healthy diet will do that!.

So, do some sit-ups every day, but make sure you do a lot of cardio as well to burn that fat!. Also, eat healthy foods and make sure you eat less calories than you use!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I am sure it would help!. But can you honestly do a 1000 situps a day!. If, you can't I would hate for you to feel as though you fell!. There are so many other exercises you can do for that area other than situps!. Search for core exercises, its some pretty great ideas out there!. You will still need to do the cardio!.!.!.!.believe it or not it helps to!. Here is a link to a site that had a different type of Ab exercise and you can find others here as well!.

increase by 50 each week or fortnight what ever works for youWww@Answer-Health@Com

No need to over do it - crunches will help tone the muscles and shape you but the fat over top of the muscles can only be burned by cardio and a proper diet!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

yes!. it would!. but you might want to do it monday-friday!. every week!. it might not be a huge change but it will help!. ALOT!.

hope this helped(:Www@Answer-Health@Com

the short answer to this is no!. Sit ups will develop your abs but they wont burn fat from around your stomach !. carry on with the cardio watch your diet and cut your alcohol consumptionWww@Answer-Health@Com

Um!.!.!.yes!. duh! But I've found that doing the same routine over and over becomes dull and then end up quiting!. Try adding some other stomach exercises in there as well so you don't get bored and stay motivated!. Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

sit ups will stightly make a difference to the shape of your stomach but not that much it mostly makes your stomach mucles stronger!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes!. If you want strong shaping you need to cut down body fat percentage as well as doing the situps!. Good luck!
