Hey there! First of all .. I get a bit nervous asking or answering any type of health question here because most of us are not experts. When it comes to your health or fitness it is better to ask a professional so you do not hurt yourself or do damage.

I did minor in nutrition in college and can tell you that being slightly sore after working out is normal. If it is so bad you are considering pain relievers you may be working out too hard. It is SUPER important to work your way up to a tough work out. You can do way more damage than good if you are pushing for the "burn" and have not built up to that level of intensity.

Like the person above said a simple Advil or Morin should do the trick for pain relief, but remember they shouldn't be needed on a regular basis. If you feel you need to take them every time you work out something is wrong. They are capable of causing internal damage when taken too frequently.

Lastly, you can go to Muscle and Fitness magazine (they have a website just Google it) or Google Joe Weider ... this is where most expert advice in the exercise industry comes from - especially for body building and increasing athletic ability. Also, don't be afraid to talk with a personal trainer or physical therapist if you can afford it. It is always better to get good healthy advice from people who know rather than injure or hurt yourself permanently! Good luck to you! :)
