Question:

I'm planning to go on dieting to loose weight. Should I stop intake of sugar and any product having sugar?

I thought only people who are suffering from diabetes or Sugar should I avoid having sugar. But now I read everywhere that people who plan to loose weight have to avoid sugar. Why is it so? Does sugar have lot of calories? Does that mean for people who have less likelihood of having diabetes also should avoid sugar or is it only for people having diabetes or for whom there is probability of getting diabetes? In short does sugar play any role in weight gain? It would be nice if some one can give details

Sugar is high in calories and when consumed at particular times, makes you feel hungry later
