Question: When the body has food cravings, should you listen!?
I haven't been much of a milk drinker in the past decade, but I've upped my workouts of late and have been craving milk more often!. Do cravings mean anything!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

I would say that milk does not come under the banner of a bad food craving!. If you want it or need it, have it, but remember in moderation!. Try low fat or no fat milk if you are still dieting!.

Even if we know cravings are mainly in our mind, that doesn't mean they're easy to ignore!. Here's a few tips that might help:

Eat regularly: Don't skip meals - the hungrier you are, the less likely you are to make healthy food choices!.
Divide and conquer: If you regularly have late-afternoon cravings, divide your lunch in half!. Eat one portion at midday and the other at 3pm - before you reach your usual craving hour!.
Slow and steady: Include low-GI carbohydrate foods in your lunch (try legumes, tabouli, fruit and wholegrain or sourdough bread), as they release glucose slowly into your bloodstream, preventing that sudden slump!.
Delay tactics: If your cravings are triggered by the smell or sight of food, try waiting for a few minutes before indulging!. Most of the time, the craving will pass!.

Give up guilt: It's OK to indulge in a craving every now and again!. In fact, it may help you to move past it!. Just make sure you find the best example of the food you crave and then allow yourself to eat a moderate-sized portion!.

I think they do!. I always pay attention to that sort of thing!. If I'm craving something that is healthy for me, I tend to think that there's a reason for that!. Of course, I often crave other types of food, as well, such as chocolate, an apricot danish, or some Natural White Cheddar Cheese Puffs by Frito Lay!. craving milk may mean you need the calcium!.!. so drink it! its not bad for you, its healthy! it would be bad if you were craving something like cake, poutine, cream cheese, or something else fattening!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I get like that every now and then!. I give in and drink milk!. Its healthy for you, so it won't hurt!. Plus milk makes your bones stronger so when you drink it, you'll be less likely to damage your bones!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You should eat 4-6 small portioned meals a day if you're trying to lose weight!. If your body craves food then drink water first before you eat because it helps the cravings!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Cravings can mean that you need the nutrients from the food!. Make sure your getting enough vit d and keep drinking the milk, atleast your not craving cake!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
