How do I lose 15-20 pounds in 2 months? Is this realistic?!

Question:

How do I lose 15-20 pounds in 2 months? Is this realistic?

I want to do this in a healthy way. But I'm DEFINATELY NOT a fan of working out. Of course I'll have to, so if you could recommend some easy things that I can do while doing TV. And suggest how much I should walk everyday/week and some longer workouts or other tips that will help.

For military personnel, 3-5 lbs of weight loss per week is considered normal, and you don't have to kill yourself to reach that level. But, you do need to do something to burn the extra calories and also watch what you eat.

Be aware that you might lose more weight the first week or two and then "rebound" a pound or two....don't get frustrated,...it is your body trying to cope for losing weight...stick to the healthy diet and exercise and when weight seems to stop coming off, change the exercises.

Also, two things that help is to watch your combinations that you eat "bread" or "starches" are not necessarily bad, but depends on how you use them. Brown rice with the hull still on actually has more calories than white rice, but because your body uses more calories to digest it and you get the benefit of the bran, you are better off.

Also, another trick used in the military is what you eat when you eat. A very large, healthy (but not overboard) breakfast, medium lunch, and light dinner works the best, as you are burning more calories during the day, and less in the evening. If you find yourself still hungry try changing your mealtimes, but don't eat too soon before bed or try veggies as a snack.

One thing that helped me alot....I was a mayo fanatic...tuna, light meat sandwiches, etc. Even my turkey burger needed something. I tried using Wish Bone "Just 2 Good" ranch dressing on my salads and found it works okay as a bread spread also. A little dry, but liveable. But, as a salad dressing, it still has better taste than fat-free and the calories won't jeapordize your diet too badly, if you just use it in normal portions (low fat does not mean you can use more! LOL!).

As far as workout, for me what worked the best was stretching, followed by a few light calloustenics, then the treadmill, where I could monitor my distance and time accurately and not "cheat". A also rode a bike a known distance within 1 hour. You may have to work up to 1 hour, then keep trying further distance in that same time.

Also, one can of soda contains the carbs of about 3 servings of stuffing/dressing. And caffiene will interfere with your liver's ability to metabolize fats, worse for the liver than alcohol.

Good luck, and I wish you the best!
