was underweight but i saw a nutritionist

u need to eat MORE CALORIES THEN U BURN TO GAIN WEIGHT!.!.!.EAT MORE OF THESE TYPES OF SNACKS/FOODS !.!.!.

-Lean meats
-complex carbs(oatmeal, brown rice, whole wheat bread/pasta, some cereals)
-peanut butter or other nuts
-"proto pure" protein bars!.!.!.!.each has 300 calories and 32 g protein but are low fat(7-8g), ok carb(around 26), very low sugar(1g), very healthy and delicious!.!.!.i like the chewy chocolate chip and chocolate deluxe!.!.or the regular "pure" protein bars but they are smaller and only have around 180-200 calories and 20 grams of protein
-loose granola
-dried fruit(especially raisins)-instead of fresh fruit
-muesli
-potatoes and corn instead of greens
-drink BOOST PLUS and ensure plus(the chocolate is the best) they have 350-360 calories each and have alot of vitamins, healthy fats, and the carbs u need!.!.!.look them up!.!.!.there is a difference between the regular and the plus!.!.!.
-milk/other dairy products
-beans/seeds

U HAVE 2 MAKE SURE U DONT BURN WHAT U EAT AND HAVE A HEALTHY SNACK BEFORE BED LIKE A PB&J SANDWICH AND A GLASS OF CHOCOLATE MILK or boost plusWww@Answer-Health@Com

Yes! I believe you can do it! But, you need to do it in a healthy matter!. Although pigging out on Burger King and McDonalds will make you gain weight, it won't be good for you in the long run!. Try incorporating more healthy fats in your diet, such as nuts, peanut butter, avocados, cheese, and olive oil!. You also need complex carbohydrates (cereals, pastas, etc) and lean protein (chicken breast, fish)!. You can also purchase Ensure or Boost Plus drinks at most supermarkets!. Each 8oz bottle has roughly 350 calories and is packed with nutrients, plus they come in yummy flavors like chocolate and butter pecan!. If you drink two of these a day in addition to your regular meals, i assure you that you will gain weight!.

Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

You could gain weight if you are still at an age where you are growing, have been unusually thin (or sick), increase your intake and activity correctly, are pregnant, or don't care where that weight shows up!.

Most of my life I have been somewhat underweight!. In the last 6 months I have gained a little over 25 lbs!. There are a number of reasons for this but I can suggest that at least some of it came from eating on average 1/2 lbs of nuts each day!. Nuts have oils and protein in them and are a food that dieters try to avoid because of this!.

You can think of many foods that dieters try to avoid and enjoy eating lots of it!. (ice cream, cake, cheeses!.!.!.) But it may not be too healthy!.

Additionally, you might look for protein powders and other suppliments at GNC!. Someone seeing you and understanding your situation is better than trying to give a general answer here on limited information!. If you increase your intake of protein at the same time as you provide sufficient exercise you can gain weight (if you are not already overweight) Muscle weights more than fat and in times of increased activity I have always gained weight!. (see the second site below for expample)

In general weight gain can cause many health complications!. A search for "weight gain" will give you a nice list!. Below is an answer for a Yahoo Question regarding "healthy weight gain" with a great answer (first site) and another for a weight gain product that I am sure is one among many (last site)!.

Good luck and remember health is more important than any "ideal" measure like weight to height!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
