Answers:
Bulk up but keep in good shape!. If you're a cornerback you gotta be quick, but if you're a runningback you gotta be tough and quick!. So do both!. Eat meat, alot of it!. As much steak as possible!. And make sure you get a gainer for a protein shake after workouts!. Cyto Gainer works great!. Every day you should work out two different muscles for an hour or more!. I focus on bi's and tri's one day!. Chest and shoulders the next!. Legs and Back and Abs the next!. Then repeat!. Taking sunday off!. Also, you need to be doing a couple hours of cardio every day!. Even if its just playing basketball!. Get it in there!. Run stairs!. Do lunges with a medicine ball over your head!. Go all out!. After a week you'll be so pumped about how great you're feeling that you're gonna be wanting to jump right back on your regimine and go ten times harder!. Trust me!. I love working out!. I play Defensive End up at New Mexico State UniversityWww@Answer-Health@Com

If you're playing football at 130 pounds or less you're going to get wiped, you need to add some good lean muscle so bulking is a good start!. For most but the most genetically gifted it's nearly impossible to both gain much muscle and lose much bodyfat at the same time, unless you're obese!.

What you can try is what the bodybuilders and strength athletes do, go through bulking and cutting phases!. For instance, you can spend 12 weeks on a hypercaloric diet combined with a strength and bulk training program, then spend 12 weeks cutting down the bodyfat, which is all toning is!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

For either of those positions, you need to focus on your speed!. I would say you could use some bulk, but not so much that it costs you your speed!. Besides!.!.!. lean muscle IS toned muscle!.

Record your 40 times (a few times over a couple of weeks) to establish your average and then continue recording each week!. Each time you gain 5lbs see where you are, if you lose more than !.2 (for at least 2 trials) then consider cutting back!. Check with your coach to see what types of speeds he wants for the positions he's considering you for!.

You probably need to start focusing on your varsity year where in general players are bigger!. I would 'guess'timate that you should probably weigh around 150lbs for cornerback and 160lbs for running back (depending on the type of team (quick and fast, strong but slow, etc!.))!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
