Answers:
This is really easy to do!. Most people think you have to go to the gym in order to lose weight, or increase muscle mass!.
If you are trying to gain muscle, and maybe tone up your body a little bit, here is what i'd suggest!.
First of all,
make sure you are eating breakfast as soon as you wake up in the morning!. I'd suggest some protein, so either a protein shake, eggs, with egg whites, or maybe even some peanut butter lathered on some whole wheat bread!.
The reason you want to not forget, this most important meal of the day, is because it's going to kick start your metabolism!. Plus, in order to gain and tone muscle, you need to make sure you are eating protein!.
Eat 5-6 small meals a day, not going more than 2-3 hours between meals!.
Protein bars are good, so is trail mix, and even some 1 or 2% cheese on some crackers!.
Just make sure you are eating something!.
You also need to be drinking lots of water!. When you work out, your body utilizes water and if you don't get enough, or replace it, you will become dehydrated!.
Now for working out!.
Pick two body parts to focus on each day!. You can do three if you'd like, but I always liked to do two!.
For example, Biceps and tricepts!. Since both of these muscles work together, it's easy to workout both of these at the same time!.
Using your dumbells, do 8-12 reps and 3 sets of each of these exercises:
Bicep curls with your forearms up!. (just your basic curl) Then do a curl with your forearms pointing towards eachother, thumbs pointing up towards the ceiling!.
Try these same exercises with the bar bell!. Do one set with your hands close together, and do another with your hands further apart!. This is going to give you a great workout, working out all parts of you bicep!.
Now, for triceps!.!.!.
You can do a few types of tricep extensions!.!.!.first grab your dumbells and lift them over your head!. In a controlled movement, lower them so that your elbow bends!. Lift back up and repeat movement!.
You may also want to try the extension where you are holding the dumbell in your hand and with your arm bent, elbow pointing behind you, extend your arm backwards until you feel the stretch!. Repeat with other arm!.
Another exercise you can do is find a chair, bed or something you can lean back on with your hands, and lower your body down!. As you lift your body weight back up you will be working your tricep!.
You can also do a reverse curl, starting with the dumbells down at your side, tops of your hands facing up, and curl up!. This will work both your bicep, coming up and tricep going down!.
You can do push ups and sit ups every single day!. I like to do them while I'm watching t!.v!.
When you are doing your sit ups!.!.!.just make sure you are switching up your workout!. Try doing some sit ups with your legs stretched out, some with your knees bent, maybe another set with your knees bent, feet off the floor!.
Our bodies get used to working out, so in order to get the best results, you need to switch up your routine!.
Maybe sure you get your back and your chest in!. Push ups will help you work those muscles out, and most importantly!.!.!.don't forget your legs!!!
Squats are good!. So is running or biking!. If you don't have access to a gym, leg extensions may be hard to do!. However, you can get a great workout in with squats!.
Have fun with it!. Working out shouldn't be a chore!. It should be fun, so don't push yourself too hard, after all!.!.!.you are only 13, and have fun!!!
Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com
