Question: Is Syrup of Ipecac a good way to lose weight!?
I joined this online weight loss community and I have been getting great advice, so far!.
Someone told me about this stuff called "Syrup of Ipecac" that they say is an FDA approved weight loss agent!. I went out an bought a few bottles of it, but I still wanna do a little bit of research before I go out and start using the stuff!.
How does it help you lose weight!? I really wanna lose weight really badly!. I have been overweight my entire life and it makes me really depressed!. I just don't know what to do!. I am hoping this stuff works!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Woah there, hun! Ipecac induces VOMITING! And vomiting is definately NOT a healthy way to lose weight! Please don't try it!
Try going to the gym or taking daily jogs/walks! Exercise is good with a healthy diet! Trust me!. It will be better in a long run!.
Please keep this in mind:
"Ipecac has been used by individuals with bulimia nervosa as a means to achieve weight loss through induced defensive vomiting!. Repeated abuse is believed to cause damage to the heart, which can ultimately result in the user's death!."Www@Answer-Health@Com

Not unless you want to end up in the hospital!!
Remember there is no diet pill that will make you lose weight AND KEEP IT OFF, it will always come back- you must make a lifestyle change and exercise 3-5 x/week and make healthy eating decisions!. I know it's frustrating because everyone wants to see "instant" results but remember we don't put on weight overnight we put it on over-time, so it take time to take it off! Good LuckWww@Answer-Health@Com

It's supposed to induce vomitting!. That is NOT the way to lose weight!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
No, that's a very bad idea!. The person telling you that is probably telling you because Ipecac Syrup will make you throw up!. If you throw up your food you will not absorb those calories!. However, this is not the way to go about weight loss!. Ipecac Syrup is very dangerous and unpredictable!. I took it on a few occasions when I was much younger and it never made me vomit, just made me very nauseous!. People can have heart attacks due to electrolyte imbalances from throwing up too much!.
NOT a good idea!. Return it to the store if you haven't opened it already!.
It is NOT FDA approved for weight loss!. It is FDA approved to make you vomit after you have swallowed a poison of some sort!. It's use is recommended against by most medical associations as a primary means of inducing vomiting!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
