Is "white chocolate" more fattening than "dark chocolate?"?!


Question: Is "white chocolate" more fattening than "dark chocolate!?"!?
I bought LINDT SWISS WHITE (dark, too) CHOCOLATE with SMOOTH FILLING (came in 18 pieces) for a party - celebrating SIX years since my motorcycle accident!. I was about to open it when my Godsister said, "you know that white chocolate has more carbs!? Dark is better for the diet that we are on!." (we are on the South Beach Diet!.)

Now, do I worry about that comment for myself (I gained 26 POUNDS after my accident - this is a lot b/c I am only 4'11!) or is it something she is worried about for herself (she had a baby and trying to lose her belly-fat)!?

She was not worried about the carb-content with the dark! I must have seen her eat 3 of those pieces! (!.!.!.as I see that I ONLY have 5 pieces left of the WHITE! Where did the 13 disappear to!?!?)Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes, white chocolate is more "fattening" than dark chocolate!. If you have to eat chocolate eat dark only, studies have shown that in small amount it can be good for you (those with 70% or more cocoa)!. Here's an example:
Say if those 18 pieces of chocolate we're all one gram each the white chcolate would contain 97 calories, 6grams of fat, 11grams of carbs and 1gram of protein!. The 18grams of dark chocolate contains 91 calories, 6grams of fat, 11grams of carbs and 1gram of protein!.
Although dark chocolate is "better" for you!. Eating greater quantaties is no better than eating a few small pieces of any other type of chocolate!. Dont be fooled into thinking its better for me therefore I can eat more of it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes!. Dark chocolate has less sugar, and white chocolate has ALOT of sugar and more calories!. Try and get 60% cacao chocolate it is delicious and strengthens your metabolism plus has antioxidants!. I recommend Hershey's!.

White chocolate is made with fat (cocoa fat) and sugar!. It is white since it does not has cocoa!. Dark chocolate has a good percentage of cocoa, sugar and fat!. yes, dark chocolate has fewer carbs and calories, !.!.You can check the box for how many!.!.!.!.!.but if you do not eat a whole lot of it and just indulge occasionally it would not matter that much!. Enjoy only one at a time, just don't gorge or binge!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It depends on the amount of sugar in each!. I'd just check the nutritional info on each box to find out how much carbohydrates there are (since different manufacturers will have different amounts of sugar)!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
