You should start with a set of 10-12 reps with a weight that doesn't put a strain on your shoulders, then when you can do 15 reps easily, add a little more weight!. Remember when doing legs to warm up with a little cardio, say 10 minutes on a stationary bike, then do a count of 1,2,3,4 when doing the leg exercise, such as a leg extension and 1,2 when dropping the weight!.
