Question: Help heath crazed mother!!!?
Ok my mom suddenly got realy crazy about being skinny and healthy Like she calls me fat and stuff(by the way i am not my docter said i was fine)now she is on to me about caloires like i was about to drink life water and she said "hey you know thare is like 100 calories in that" i got so mad and the only cooke i eat are 100 caloire ones i mean i like health foods but this is crazy please give me tips on trying to servie about this! thank youWww@Answer-Health@Com

tell her some facts!. like did u know u lose about 3 calories every time u laugh!. u lose more calories watiching tv than u do sleeping!. celery is a good caorie loser cuz it gives u less calories than it takes to eat it!. u know, stuff like that!. she might loosen up!. if she doesnt ease up, try telling her that u'll never look like the models on magazines and u like the way u are!. most parents will bend to that since they REALLY care about ur happinessWww@Answer-Health@Com

Gosh, this makes me so mad! So many females today are so insecure about themselves!. A lot of it stems from outsiders!. If you actually feel unhealthy and want to lose weight is one thing but for your mom to be calling you fat is not only rude, but dangerous!. All it takes is one comment for some one to start looking down on themselves!. Comments about weight are particularly bad!. Eight million people in the US have eating disorders! I wonder why your mother would risk you becoming a statistic because a cookie has 100 calories!. Just flat out tell her, "My doctor says I'm fine, I feel fine, please stop calling me fat!."

Just because she has her own insecurities doesn't mean you have to suffer!.

Having someone that is suposed to love you unconditionaly tell you you are fat and hounds you on what you eat will only lead to self esteem issues and issues with food in general!.

Whatever the reason, she is just concerned that you will not be healthy as you should be!. If you are active and don't consume dairy products, you likely won't get fat!. Well you should go ahead and let your mom know how you feel about this process she's going through!.!.!. and tell her that she's beautiful at any shape just don't let her get obese!

Well, aren't to smart and mature enough to know your mom has become a little crazed about this!. All moms want the best for their families and she could just be a little exuberant about this right now!. Together come up with a healthy plan!. Being skinny is NOT a goal!. Being healthy IS!. By exercising 5 times a week (start with walking for 15 min!. -- that's 7 min!. one direction, then turning around and coming home, then get a drink of water) and choosing healthy foods 98% of the time it's ok to have a 100 cal!. cookie once in a while!. Water is definitately much better to drink, even over diet sodas & fruit juices!. Get your fruit & vegetables by eating the whole variety!. Read the labels, just because an item states its low in calories does not make it healthy!. You must watch sugar (artificial as well as corn syrup) and fats!. If your doctor said that you are ok, then you are ok!. Your mom should not call you fat!. Even fat people are hurt by being called this!. It's better to focus on getting healthy & any fat will melt away!. The advantage is the muscle you build will help raise metabolism which will also help burn fat!. Next time you're at the doctor ask for some ideas/recipes and help your mom prepare those healthy meals for you both!. Some Health Plans even have websites that offer ideas!.
