Appetite suppressing foods?!

Question:

Appetite suppressing foods?

What are some foods that don't cause you to want to eat more... try to answer from personal experience because there are theories about protein, non-processed, complex carbs, fiber, etc. What do you think is the best answer?

Answers:

Personally, I find that its carbs that always send me into a binge, especially anything sugary. Like if I reach into the cereal box and have one little peice of cereal, I just can't controll myself and I'll basically have the box. The foods that don't make me want to binge are suprizingly enough, faty proteins like bacon and sausage and eggs. I know that they aren't very healthy, but I feel more full on two slices of bacon (90 calories) than on a medium-large apple (90 calores). If I want a filling dinner for under 300 calories, I'll have a brat and a green salad. I know the brat isn't the most healthy or the largest peice of food for my calories, but its filling to me. The only non-fatty foods that I find really filling is cultured dairy like cottage cheese and yogurt, which also happen to be low in calories when you buy the right kind. So yeah, even though I'm not a low-carb dieter, I'd recommend you stay away from the carbs (especially the simple white ones or the sugary ones) to avoid that weird desire we all get to eat when we're not hungry.
