How much excersize should I do to lose 40 pounds in 2 months?!

Question:

How much excersize should I do to lose 40 pounds in 2 months?

I'm 16. 5'4. around 168 pounds.
I'd like to lose 40 pounds in 2 months [by the end of summer].
For some reason it's hard for me to diet, I either pig out or don't eat at all...ever.
I think it's because i dont know what to eat...or how much i should [to acheive the goal]

Excersizing is a huge issue, I get bored easily.
I'm not allowed to go out [dont ask why], but all I have is a treadmill and weights. How many miles should I be walking/jogging per day to lose the 40 pounds in 2 months?

Answers:

First off, 40 pounds is WAYYYYY too much weight to HEALTHILY lose in two months. A HEALTHY weight to lose (and keep off) is one to two pounds a week.
Personally, I think walking is the best exercise. If you have access to your favorite music, You can just rock out while walking. Help keeps you from getting too bored.
Second, Losing weight is 80% mental. If you don't change your mindset, you won't stop bad behaviors, and you won't committ to losing the weight.
All that I speak from is self taught, things that I have learned. And in February 2007, I weighed in at 281 pounds at thte doctors office, and now I weigh 259. So I am getting there, so can you. It is really important that you get a support system behind you, so they can encourage you and cheer you on as you work your way to a healthier you.
Good Luck!!
