Is such a low caloric intake ok?

I've been told by my doctor to eat less and exercise more but I counted my calories today and realized I've only eaten 835 calories. I'm obese, so the weight loss wont hurt me, but is that too low? I've eaten fish, beans, vegetables, yogurt, and some fruit today and I feel very full and healthier, but that just seems like a low number? Is eating so few calories ok as long as I'm eating a wide variety of foods and feel full and healthy?


Answers:

you do not want to go too low, because your body will go into starvation mode. You can end up making your self ill.

What you need to do is eat six small meals every three hours. Keeps you metabolism boosted, and your body burning the max. number of calories it could burn.

Stay with 250-300 calories every 3 hours with a half hour - 1 hour of excersise 4 days per week. Remember = Carbs in the AM to early Afternoon. Always eat protein with your meals.

Drink all water.. and GREEN TEA!!!
