My fitness has hit a plateau- how can I break through it?!


Question: My fitness has hit a plateau- how can I break through it!?
Basically I was very unfit- I did not exercise, smoked, and drank almost daily!. I've given up the drink and the cigarettes and have started exercising, but I promised myself I would not use a gym or any sort of supplements!. All my exercise is done in my own home, using bodyweight, or running!.

I run six miles a day and do circuits or press-ups, tricep-dips and sit-ups, and my health has improved greatly!. But all of a sudden I have stopped noticing any change!.

How can I get back on track, without giving in and joining a gym or taking supplements!?

You have to add some variation - your muscles have got used to the routine and so you aren't pushing them like you were before!. Mix it up a bit and you should see an improvement - some ideas:

-skipping - great for fittness and can be done at home - you can buy a skipping rope for around
