Question: I need to lose weight!I am 14 and over 20% body fat!Please help!!?
I am going to be in a wedding so that's why I'm worried!.I am 5"4 and 118 pounds!.My belly and arms are flabby and my upper legs are too!.I need to get my arms to look thin, without lifting weights!.I tried to lift weights but my arms got even bigger and now the are huge!.The dress is strapless!.Please help me!I have quite a while to tone up my body!.I tried sit ups/push ups but I couldn't do them!.I was huffin and puffin after simple exercizes!.I am over 20% body fat which is bad, I know!.We have sooo much ice cream and I can't eat veggies without butter!.I don't know what to do!.I always thought I was skinny and I dont think I have a weight problem but my mom says I do!.Is 118 really that bad!?And Ideas on what to do!?
I kinda stopped counting callories because I think full cheeks are very attractive!.I finally have a beautiful full face but I hate to exercize and definitely don't want my face to look chubby!.Please help!Www@Answer-Health@Com

At 5ft 4in, and 118 pounds, your body mass index (BMI) is 20!.3!.
Here is what this means:
* Underweight = <18!.5
* Normal weight = 18!.5-24!.9
* Overweight = 25-29!.9
* Obesity = BMI of 30 or greater

This puts you smack in the middle of the normal weight range!. At age 14, I would actually assume that much of this is so called "puppy fat" and will naturally disappear within a few years, assuming a healthy lifestyle!.

If you don't want to develop larger muscles, you should not be lifting weights or doing push ups!. Any cardiovascular exercise, such as running, swimming, hiking, or even long brisk walks should be sufficient to lose a bit of weight!. Don't obsess though! you are NOT overweight, and should NOT be trying to lose much weight, at most you should be trying to get rid of a few pounds, and tone up, but again - do NOT believe yourself to be overweight!. You are perfectly normal and healthy!.

As far as butter and veggies go - I'm a butter fan myself, (goodness knows what chemicals go into margarines and spreads these days!) but you should of course use everything in moderation! instead of cooked vegetables, try to find fruits or veggies that you enjoy eating raw!. cut up some watermelon for yourself, or apples, or snack on raw baby carrots!. try to have something like that always on hand, for when you feel like snacking!. (and be sure its something you acutally enjoy eating)

Uh!.!.!. 118 at 5'4" isn't that bad!.!.!. Most women are that weight and height and they look perfectly fine!.!.!. But then again, weight distribution is different depending on gender!.

Seriously, put away the butter and throw the ice cream out!.

Drink water instead of soda or milk, and maybe go for a 40 minute walk everyday!. A few little steps make gigantic distances with time!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

A girl your age should have between 16%-28% body fat so you are perfectly normal!. And only very athletic girls would have a body fat percentage at the lower end of this range anyway!.

At your current weight I'd expect you to be around 22%-23% body fat if you medium build and non-athletic!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You aren't fat!. You're normal!. Just try cardio workouts instead of lifting weights, that'll burn fat off wherever you may have it!. Try jogging a mile, walking two miles, or biking three miles every day, that fat will be gone in no time!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

you dont have to give up what you like!.!.!.you just have to control portion!. put less butter on the veggies!.!.!.eat less ice cream, or low fat ice cream!.!.!.OR what i really like forzen yogurt (my fave!.!.!.ben and jerrys cherry garcia) im in the process of losing weight too!.!.!.though i have a lot more than you!.!.!.i dont think you need to lose weight!.!.!.because youre at a normal weight for your height!.!.!.you probably just need to tone up!.!.!.to simple weights like 1 pound dumb bells!.!.!.and do slow and steady arm work outs!.!.!.it will get rid of some fat but also tone it up and give a slight bit of definition!. and i took think full cheeks are cute!.!.!.i dont ever want to look like my face is sinking it!.!.!.ew!.!.!.it kinds freaks me out, i just think of all those pictures ive seen of emaciated people from the halocaust!.!.!.you sound like you just want to tone up!. yoga moves would do it too for you!.!.!.or palites!. i dont think you need anything too extravagant!. but good luck :)

You CANT eat veggies without butter or you dont LIKE to eat veggies with out butter!? You CANT eat healthy or you just dont WANT to eat healthy!? You sound very lazy, and the whole you don't like to exercise thing!? At first no one really LIKES to exercise but once you do it almost everyday it is just a part of your daily life!.

To lose weight you are going to have to eat healthy, hold the butter, and work out, that is the only way!. If you don't like the advice then good luck, you arn't going to get the results you are looking for!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It sounds to me like you have alot of room for improvement!.
Avoid eating fast food, and drinking soda!.
Diet is important, but the main thing you need to do is get cardio exercise!. For you, slimming down will NOT be related to situps or pushups!. I dont know what that has to do with losing weight!.

No, what you need to do is cardiovascular exercise such as running on a treadmill!.
I know running sucks, so you may want to try an eliptical machine or a stairmaster or a bike!.

The main thing is that you elevate your heart rate and get your metabolism going!. You need to elevate your heart rate and keep it going for 15 minutes!. You will need to start out easy, but get some one to stay with you so that you dont give up or slack off!.

All the fad diets and stupid exercies wont keep you slim!.
