Answers:
if you eat before you workout you got to realize that the blood shunts to your stomach for digestion and if you then lift there will not be a sufficient amount of blood going to ur muscles to provide u with enough strength for the workout!. Give urself 30 mins or so after eating to begin ur workout!. Stay away from too much sugar before hand because it will give u that boost of energy and then good bye to that energy very quickly!. Eat sumthing with complex carbs like!.!.!.!.whole grains!. fruits(withouth the peel, takes long to digest) maybe granola bars or something with carbs!. carbs are energy!. its when we eat carbs and dont do anything is when we gain fat!. I usually eat sumthing with whole grain about 30 mins before!. After ur workout get some more carbs and protein!. the protein needs carbs to ride on to get to ur muscles!. good luckWww@Answer-Health@Com

avoid fats before/after your workout!. they are neccessary and very important in your diet, but they take a while to digest and if your blood flow is busy in your digestive track then it cant' help you with your workouts, and you are more likely to cramp!. go for a fast carb (like rice cakes and white potatoes) for shorter bouts of exercise (and for post workouts) and go for slower carbs (brown rice, sweet potatos, oatmeal) for longer bouts or if there will be a longer time between when you eat and workout!. my favorite meal is breakfast (i workout right after) i eat potatos with egg whites and hot peppers!. (the potatos give a good morning kick!.!.!. instant energy!.!.!. the peppers are a little slower carb, but not too much and the eggs give the protien to sustain energy the whole awy through!.!.!. i do a whole hour and a half a day so it's a longer workout to support than a thirty minute jog, but it is PERFECT for me!. it's about 250 calories and the best thing i've ever found!.!.!. but there are plenty of other just as good ideas!.!.!. this is just my favorite) after workout is the MOST IMPORTANT MEAL OF YOUR DAY!!! you need some protein to rebuild your muscles, but enough carbs to put the protein in place (think of having nails with no hammers!.!.!. no work!!!) again you want this to be fast absorbing, so no fat, and fast carbs!. milk producst are proven to be the most effective protien for post workout!. i like greek yogurt with strawberries and no sugar cereal sprinkled on top!. (glutamine is a cheap and powerful thing to add to this mix for some extra recovery power) but again, there are many options!.!.!. mix a fast carb with a protien (preferably a whey or milk form!.!.!.) and you're good to go! ;) good luckWww@Answer-Health@Com

I drink only water and green tea, so neither really energize me much!.

I do enjoy a small packet of trail mix for the carbs and sugar to provide a good starting energy for my workouts!. most trail mixes have a moderate ammount pf protein too which helps me in the long run by fueling my muscles!.

After a workout, typically either a big plate of veggies and a protein shake, or a plate of Pink Salmon with dark green lettuce and almounds!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

its not necessary to energize by eating, before a workout, iys notivation, in mind, or the determination, stop, treating workouts as exhausting, its all in mind, how you take itWww@Answer-Health@Com
