Question: I Haave a question about squats!?
Ok so im 14 and i started doing calf raises every other day to get my vertical up,i heard squats help and i want to try them!? Well first off i heard u also need to use a weight and how much weight do u think i should use!? and how many sets/ reps should i do!? and i should do them every other day right!? I also need to know wut form i should use cuz some ppl do them against a wall others do it on a chair others do it while standing up!.!.!.long answers are bestWww@Answer-Health@Com

Proper form is important to avoid injury to your knees!. Make sure that you're standing free and clear of anything!. Pretend that you doing a squat is like you are trying to pee in the woods, and you don't want it on you (sorry, that's what I was told when I was learning)!. Make sure that your knees are over your toes when you bend them - if they go past your toes, you could cause knee injury!. Make sure to bend your knees enough so that your thighs are parallel to the floor, then come back up to standing slowing, not locking your knees!.
Just starting out, you don't need weights, and until you get the hang of it so that you have balance, it's not recommended!. If you're looking to gain muscle mass, you should do between 6-8 reps, 3 sets!. If It gets easier, then hold dumbbells to your shoulders!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

calf raises are good!. for your squats I dont recommend doing any weight!. if you want to use weight then only a little!. too much weight will hurt your joints as you are still growing!. i recommend doing 3 sets of 15 reps!. you should do them by going down and holding for three full seconds and then going back up for 1 or 2 seconds!. make sure you go down all the way so your knees are bent at 90 degreesWww@Answer-Health@Com

my friend told me that she just does regular squats !.she doesnt use a chair or nothing she just squats down!. she said that she would do reps of 10 6 to 8 times a day!. for example lets say she will go to the kitchen she will do 10 reps there then the bathroom 10 more there!.!.!. on so on!.!.!.
you could also try donkey kicks!.!.!.(you get on all fours and push your legs back)Www@Answer-Health@Com
