How much cardio should I do on the days I lift?!

Question: How much cardio should I do on the days I lift!?
I typically do 1 hour of cardio 3 days a week!. The other 2 days I do a full body weight routine!. I've only been doing about 15 minutes of cardio on the days I lift!. Is that OK or should I do more!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

It really depends on if you are trying to lose body fat, or just maintain your current figure!. Also, if you are trying to build muscle mass excessive cardio will work against you!.

I have read recent information that suggest 20 minutes of vigurous cardio 3 - 4 times a week is enough to lower body fat percentage!.

What you are doing seems fine, I would maybe only suggest bumping the 15 minute days up to 20 minutes!. Also, you may want to experiment with lifting different muscle groups on different days instead of doing the full body routine!. You will get a better lift because you can target specific muscle groups and use all of your energy and time that day to focus on these specific muscles!.

Personally when I was attempting to build muscle mass and increase the max of my lifts I was doing cardio only like 20 - 30 minutes twice a week!. I am now at the point where I need to cut some body fat!. I lift 5 days a week and do between 45 minutes to an hour of cardio each of these days!. If I have the time I get another light lift and some additional cardio in on the weekends!. I have manged to cut about 30lbs while maintaining or increasing the weight of most of my lifts!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

15 min is plenty on strength training days!. I have found the best mix for me is to do 10 min light cardio before lifting (to get my blood and muscles warmed up) and 10 - 15 min light-turning-to-heavy cardio after lifting!.
Example - 10 min upright bike before starting my lift day!. Then, after lifting, start walking on the treadmill and every 5 min turning it up a notch!.!.!. ending in a 5 min sprint!.
Remember, too much endurance training will hurt your attempts to build muscle!. Sprinting is pretty well accepted by strength training experts!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Whatever your body can handle!. I only do about 30-45 m of cardio a day and full body strength training 2 days/ week!. I do my full cardio on the days I strength train!. I will lift weights first and then do cardio, because I have more energy this way!Www@Answer-Health@Com

15 minutes of HIT, or High Intensity Cardio AFTER your workout is plenty, if you do not have a lot of fat to lose!.
An hour will cut deep into your muscle building efforts!. Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

15-30mins would be ok!. fyi, you should do the cardio after yoiu lift so you have all your energy for lifting!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

its ok, just do it before u lift!. better resultsWww@Answer-Health@Com
