Question: How do i get taller/skinnier!?
Im 12 and im short!.!.and chubby!. I wanna get taller and lose like 10 pounds!.Can anyone help me!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Oh honey!.

Growing to be tall isn't something you can effect!. Listen, eating meat and protein is a great way to try, but height is affected by culture, race, and luck!.

Being that you are only twelve, working out isn't something you should do!. You can damage your bones and body, and you won't get results!. To loose weight, all you have to do is get active!. Try playing sports, jogging, swimming, or riding a bike on a regular basis!. Give your bones a chance to grow before you actually "work out"!.

DO NOT DIET!. It is nearly the same as working out!. And don't listen to the media!. You don't have to be tall and skinny!. If it doesn't come natural, don't worry too much!. Sure, it feels nice to look good, but you should never let models and celebrities or anyone pressure you to change who you are!.

You have friends and family who love you no matter what!. Always remember that!.

Skinnier is a matter of burning more calories than you are eating!. So cut down on calories!. If you drink soda pop with sugar, switch to diet soda or another diet drink like Crystal Light!. If you eat chips or other 'fried' foods cut them out of your diet!. If you don't want to change your diet you must add exercise!. Even just a long walk every day will make a difference!.
Taller will soon be upon you!. When you start puberty which starts somewhere between 12 and 14 years old you will have a major growth spurt and you'll continue to grow until about age 16-18 but at a slower rate after the spurt!. Actually, people who are just a little overweight like you will become thinner when the growth spurt starts because your body burns more calories to grow at that time!. You can't control your height!. You might grow a few more inches as you get older but you might not!. As for weight, you can eat well and exercise to get your mojo going!.

I can relate to you because at your age I was chubby and short, and as I grew my body grew with itself and I lost weight without even trying!. Now I'm in love with my body!

Btw, what kind of milk do you drink!? Slim and 2% milk are the best kind to achieve a lean build!. Whole milk is fatty and full of calories!.

Also, did you know that the calories you drink are more likely to add pounds than the calories you eat!? Drink less sodas and more milk and water and juices!. You don't have to obsess with counting calories, but just take into consideration what you're putting into your body!. And DO NOT LISTEN TO THE OTHER 13 YEAR OLD WHO SAYS TO ONLY EAT 800 calories a day!. That is so unhealthy for you, and that would mean only drinking water and eating carrots!. The average person must intake at least 2000calories a day in order to obtain a healthy body!.

But, seeing your 12, you shouldn't have to worry about this kind of thing right now, except your health!. Your body will grow into itself eventually, I promise you!.

There is nothing you can do to make yourself taller!. Since you are only 12, you still will grow a little, or maybe alot, before you are an adult!. Whatever height you end up is the height you are meant to be, so don't worry about it!.

As for getting in shape, eat healthy and get active!. Eat plenty of fruits and veggies, eat lean meats, whole grains, and drink lowfat milk!. Limit the amounts of fried foods and sweets you eat!.

Also, get out there and play some sports, or swim, or go on walks, anything that keeps you moving!. You will get healthier, and as a bonus, you will slim down!.

You're still young, you'll get taller!. Wait a few years!.

To lose weight/get less chubby:
-exercise(run twice a week, walk instead of getting driven somewhere, take the stairs instead of the elevator)

Well i am 13 and i am tall and skinny i have no idea what i do to stay this way!.!.!. anyway i realli want to gain weight because i only weight about 117 pounds and i am about 5'4 in height, well if u realli want to lose weight all u have to do is everytime u eat food try to look at the "calories from fat" try not to eat the ones that are over 1000 calories then keep going lower for example 1 week only eat up to 900 calories then the next week eat only up to 800 or 700 calories until u get to the weight that u wanna be!.!.!. Well the facts are !.!.!. you will get taller (you are only 12) give it a little time!.!.!.look at your family, do you have a tall mother, father, auntuncle
cousin, you will probably get to be around that height (that of course is not etched in stone) only a probablity!. In other words you have no control in what height you will be when you mature!. Weight is entirely different thing !.!.!. you are in cintrol !.!.!. eat healthy(everyone is telling us how to do that) exercise at least three times a week, do not be fooled by magic diets(there is no such thing) The answer is so simplebut probably the most difficult thing for anyone to do!. EAT HEALTHY AND EXERCISE! You are young and have a lot of time, but don;t waste it!.

Well i can guarantee that you'll still gonna get taller,you're just 12!.But if you wanna loose weight, you might wanna try the fat free version of the milk you drink!.
It's summer, go outside do something fun,bike,run!.!.!.any sport you like it,will help you loose the baby fat!.Just try not to do it at night,since you said you have problems to sleep, but with the exercise you might find yourself sleeping better too!.

well, id just wait till i hit my groth spurt if you are only 12!. that would get you taller!. and if you wanna lose 10 lbs you should probly run a mile everynight, do some pushups, situps, etc!. but if you are only 12 when you hit your groth spurt your weight will more than likely even out with your height and there will be no need to lose weight!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

milk contains a lot of fat but you need it for calcium to grow!. just try drinking a small glass a day, not too much!.

buu really shouldnt be worrying about you weight at this age unless you were clinically obese, which i doubt you are!.

you will grow with time and even if you dont its ok!. being short is cute!. im 5" 1' and i love it!.

You're 12 so your growth spurt will come any time now!. Don't ruin your chances of growth by depriving your body of good foods!. If you want to loose weight exersise and eat healthy!. Don't eat junk food!. And get away from sodas!. You'll see a difference!.

But you can tone up and get skinnier!

drink water instead of milk!. walk, jog or run, whatever is comfortable with you!. you're young, your genes will kick in for the height issue!. but walking/jogging and drinking water instead of milk will cut your weight!.

i knw this may sound stupid but its true, monkey bars, seriously anything that lifts ur body up such as monkey bars help, they not only help u grow tall but also strenghten ur muscles, which can further loose body weight after an additional amount of workoutsWww@Answer-Health@Com
