Question: I'm a 17 yr old female, how much can i weigh to be the lightest healthy weight!?
I am 5ft 8in!.!.!. i am 17!.2% body fat, 111!.8 lbs lean muscle and 23!.2 pounds fat!.!.and i weight 134!.4-135 poundsWww@Answer-Health@Com

Your body fat % is very low so I'd say you're fit and toned - you're not carrying extra fat! Women normally have between 20-30% body fat!. Your current weight sounds perfect!.

i would kill to be in your position!. i'm a 17 yr old female, too, 5'7!.5", 17% body fat, but i only weigh around 121-122 pounds!. and its NOT healthy!. I havent had my period in almost 2 years!. you must be athletic to have that low % and not be emaciated =]!.
i would like to gain weight to at least and probably around 130 lbs but in order to do so I probably won't be able to stay at 17% body fat!
don't get me wrong, i'm not anorexic/ weak- i run xc at a competitive level and can beat lots of boys arm wrestling =] but trust me, you dont want to mess with your weight because it is excellent! (ie if you lose a bunch of weight and realize its unhealthy/looks bad you will have to sacrifice being in shape to be healthy weight-wise again)Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hey, I'm 16 but Im not as tall!.!.lol!.!. I'm actually about 5'2" and I weigh 110 lbs (trying to get down to 100 lbs flat) but anyways!.!. try reaching for 120 lbs!.!. that sounds about right!.!. or if not use a bmi calculator (search it online) plug in how much you want to weigh and it will tell you if its healthy or not; just keep playing with the numbers

Now, it's not all about losing weight' you can work on losing fat and building muscle (just know that muscle wighs more than fat)

Do lots of push ups for arm strength and lots of running for leg strength; also do about 10 minutes of sit ups to tighten the stomach (i'm a volleyball/trackstar; i know all about working out)

i'm 17 too!. i'm almost 5ft8 but 132lbs!. i dont know my body fat % but i think it would be more than that!.
Your bmi is 20!.3 and therefore you are borderline average/underweight like me!. :)
however, some sites say that a bmi of 18!.5 is still healthy (i think theyre wrong)
