Answers:
That is if your compare eating the same amount of food!.!.!. yes!.!.!. it would be of the same calorie intake!.!.!.

However, the other physiologic effects are what we're after!.!. Let me be specific!.!.!. when you ingest food it takes about 30 mins for the food to reach the 1st part of the intestine (called duodenum), which releases chemicals that signals the brain to register that your full!.!.

And in addition to this, you are more likely to experience indigestion or a condition called Dyspepsia where movement of food from the stomach to the duodenum is difficult!.!.!. Remember your food must reach the duodenum be registered in your brain!.

Application!?
For instance, you have unlimited food!.!. comparing fast eating from slow eating!.!. you would notice that you get to eat more before you feel full when you eat fast !.!.

Hope this helps!.!.!.

Hi Joe!

Eating slower does have a lot of benefits!.

1) It helps release the nutrients from the food, meaning your digestive system has to work less to absorb all of the good things in the food you're eating!.

2) It takes 30 minutes for your brain to register that you're full, so if you eat very fast, without giving your body the time to register the full feeling in your stomach, you're much more likely to overeat!.

3) Bloating IS often caused by food that isn't chewed well enough!. Sometimes, food that isn't fully chewed by the time it reaches the digestive tract is broken down in the intestines instead of mostly in the digestive tract, causing gases to be trapped in the lower regions of your body, causing smelly smells and puffy abdomens!. Not so nice!Www@Answer-Health@Com

It is said that the more times you chew your food, the more 'full' you feel because the brain is being tricked into thinking you have eaten more!. I'm not sure how true, or not, this is!.

Physiologically you aren't taking in any more (or less) calories because you are chewing your food more so it shouldn't make any difference to your weight, other than the fact that you may feel more full so will be inclined to eat less in the first place!!

Hope this helps!. Jamie!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

makes you less bloated and stuff!.!.!.and your digestive system will digest it faster to!.!.!.and you get fuller fast and although it takes awhile to eat things when chewing everything 30 times!.!.!.took me an hour to finish a big bowl of noodles yesterday!.!.!.but its in your best interest to chew slowly lolWww@Answer-Health@Com

It is said that once you start a meal, it isnt about how much food you eat, but the time u take while eating!. It usually takes from 10 to 15 minutes for your signals to reach your brain and tell it that you're satisfiedWww@Answer-Health@Com

nope What it does is it signals your brain when its full but the the signal is not fast so if you eat slow you dont over eat!.
Thats why in eating competitions you eat as fast as you can before you get full!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

the point of eating slow is to make you feel full faster so you'll eat less!. it tricks your brain into thinking you're full!. and it also helps you digest your food better!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
