It is not only unhealthy to do this, but very dangerous!. The thyroid drugs, like synthroid, have lots of side effects and one of them is death!. Doctors monitor your TSH hormone levels for good reason!. The problem is that the TSH tests are not sensitive enough and even the T3 and T4 hormone tests are flawed!. The stereo chemistry studies show that the T3 hormone may have active and inactive molecules with the same formula and the tests only show the "total" number of the T3 hormone, both active and inactive!.

Additionally, taking these types of hormones cause your thyroid to stop making it's own hormones!. This is why doctors tell you that once you start taking the hormones, you will have to take them for the rest of our life! This is not a trivial decision and most people that are on these drugs are chained to this life sentence!. To use them for weight loss is just stupid!.

I got a pardon from taking synthroid!. After 5 years on the garbage, I had a thyroid that was required to take the maximum dosage!. When I started taking it, my TSH was not that high and in fact, borderline!. When I made the decision, I assumed the doctor knew what he was doing!. I later learned the truth about how the thyroid works and after much study, diet changes, and supplements, am off the drug!. It took me about 8 months to do this!. I now have NO low thyroid symptoms!. It literally took me 8 months to get my thyroid back from the destruction due to that drug!.

Additionally, the thyroid gland is part of your endocrine system and that is a system of complex relationships and if you affect one organ in that system, it affects all the other glands in that system!. It is very dangerous to start fooling around with that system!. Many degenerative diseases come from drugs that mess with this system!.

There are much better ways of losing weight!. I suggest you get the book, "Life Without Bread" by Christian Allan, Ph!.D!. and learn what is good and bad food to eat and how to manage your weight and still maintain good health!.

good luck to youWww@Answer-Health@Com

I've done it Alice and it is not for amateurs!. Sorry!.

You can ruin your body's natural thyroid output and have to be on medication for life!. You also have to have a different set of medications at the end of a cycle to counterbalance and restore natural glandular function!. Again, I won't share that either as it will cause someone more harm than good!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It is very dangerous to take thyroid hormone for weight loss!. Taking thyroid hormone unnecessarily will make you hyperthyroid!. Which is a disease by itself!. It is by no means indicated!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
