Can Yoga help me lose weight?!


Question: Can Yoga help me lose weight!?
My main concern is that I would like to learn how to meditate properly and get good at it!. I became interested in Yoga because I knew it was good for your health and offered other benefits besides just meditation!.

I'm not obese or overweight, but I would like to lose a little fat around my midsection!. Except when I was in track and cross country in high school, I've always had horrible flexibility and almost never been able to touch my toes!.

Also, I've been told by a trainer at a one-time training session and a chiropractor that my back seems to be the very weakest muscle in my lower body, namely my lower back!.

Besides losing weight, can you also gain either some muscle mass or at least muscle endurance!?

with yoga you will gain flexibility and muscle mass!. add cardio and a healthy diet and you will lose weight!. i have been doing yoga for 3 years and have lost 54 pounds and gained tons of flexibility!. good luck !Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yoga most definitely is a great way to lose weight on the mid section!. You gain lots of flexibility and in the process you have to shed mid section fat!. As a matter of fact, it has been known to cure several diseases such as diabetes which are caused by fat in the midsection!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes, you can do all those things with yoga but it would need to be a "power" yoga class!. In the right class, you'll be sweating and your muscles will be straining and quivering!. You'll see results pretty quickly too!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I practice bikram yoga very often and have lost pounds and gained muscle!. It is the best yoga out there!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
