Would exercising less make me gain?!

Question: Would exercising less make me gain!?
If I exercised 4 times a week paying raquetball (squash 40 mins) instead of running which I do for an hour each time, would I gain weight if I only I did it for a week!?

I want to have a break from running but worried about weight gain as it burns less caloriesWww@Answer-Health@Com

Hi
The best answer is what the first responder says, albeit bluntly: It's all about energy balance!. If, as I presume you did running four times per week, and you're replacing this with one weeks worth of Squash for 160 minutes in that week, then you'll obviously be doing 80 minutes less exercise for that week!.
However, your body is likely to respond very favourably to the change of exercise, as it's likely that you'll really be pushing your cardiorespiratory system during the Squash sessions!. Squash is a very aerobic sport and it is quite possible that you'll probably lose weight rather than remain the same or gain it!.
Enjoy the change because the factors you're worrying about will be negligible!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I dont think you would gain much weight if any at all!. If its only for a week!. You could do an extra game or something else to make up the difference in calories burnt!. If you are that bothered you could eat less calories!. Eg if squash burns 300 less calories than running then eat 300 less calories that day!. Personally I wouldnt worry about it!. Changing your exercise routine is good as the body gets used to doing the same thing all the time!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Your going to ballon up to whale proportions by weeks end your gong float really well but if you get beached they are going to toss you and drag your carcass back in the water
