I'm a 5'6" teenager male with an ectomorph body type.?!

Question: I'm a 5'6" teenager male with an ectomorph body type!.!?
In late May, before I started working out, I weighed 125 lbs!.
With my new diet and workout( which has no cardio), I grew to weigh 140 lbs, so I put on about 5 pounds of muscle and about 10 pounds of fat!. Should I start adding 60 minutes of cardio twice a week to cut fat!? How will this affect my muscle gains!? I don't want to lose any muscle and I want to keep adding muscle till I'm 140 pounds with 6-8% body fat!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
dont worry losing fat will not cause a decrease in your muscle size that is a myth as long as you work your muscles moderately when trying to lose weight and doing cardio they should stay the same size, they may appear smaller due to less fat covering them but thats about it!. i wouldnt recommend doing any cardio i know lots of bodybuilders who never do cardio thats the way it is!.

the fact is working out alone can burn fat more efficiently as you have more muscle tissue which means your body burns more calories in a day, keep working out and taking in enough protein but try to limit your calories and it should come off gradually!.

getting down to that bodyfat % is also very hard work and best down over a long time its not worth trying to do it quickly and seeing no results in fat loss!.

also as an ectomorph you will be fine as atleast you have a bit of bodyfat for your body to burn if it needs more energy, when ectomorphs tend to have little fat their muscles are broken down for energy so you should be fine until all your bodyaft % is lower!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
