First, congrats on getting started on getting in shape!. Its always hard to even start, so you're already halfway there!.

One suggestion I'd make to give you better results and also save you some time is to change your 45-60 mins of cardio!.

Instead, try something called interval training!.

Its basically short periods of intensity mixed with short periods of rest!. What this does is essentially smack your metabolism in the FACE to wake it up and force it to burn fat!. Here's a perfect example that worked for me:

1 minute - jog (warm up)
30 seconds - sprint
30 seconds - jog
30 seconds - sprint
30 seconds - jog
30 seconds - sprint
30 seconds - jog
30 seconds - sprint
1 minute - jog (cool down)

You can do it on the treadmill, bike, swimming, eliptical, whatever!. Just as long as you're mixing a hard, high level with a low, easy level!.

This entire workout lasts less than 6 minutes but will absolutely kick your butt!.

Do this everyday for a week and I will bet you anything you'll notice a difference!.

Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

That will certainly get you in good shape pretty quickly!. I think the average person burns about 500 calories with 60 minutes of decent cardio so that puts you at 1000 calorie intake not even factoring in what you may burn lifting weights!.

Try to eat small meals throughout the day to maintain a steady metabolism otherwise your body can go into starvation mode and actually burn less fat!.

I must say, that sounds pretty intense for someone just starting, you may get burned out pretty quickly!. I would start slow the first week so you don't get too tired or sore and then work your way up based on how you feel!.

Good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I would say you will lose like 5 pounds in the first week gain 2-3 in the second (gaining muscle weight) third and forth lose more weight but slower i reckon you could lose like 16 pounds and if your not dieting too then you should be eating more caloriess!. and it all depend what you weigh the heavier you are the quicker it will come off,
Good luck!.

do the weights on 3 alternate days but on the other 3 days in betweens do yoga instead of the weight to help your muscles recover from the impacts caused by the weights!.!.!.as long as you calorie shift your food portions you can lose 5 lbs every 2 weeks safely !.!.!.good luck dearWww@Answer-Health@Com

yes that should help you loose weight however dont do too much!. if you want a quick fix that may work but it wont be forever unless you do that forever!. drinking cold water burns more calories so do that!. make sure that your 1500 calories come from good food, not a couple marsbars, stick to your 5 a day!. also if you can try and brush your teeth after meals it will discourage you from snacking (horrible taste)!. good luck but dont over do it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

it should help!. I would do the cardio after the weights!. but it sounds like you have a good plan formulated!. Gonna go with the p90x!? I remember you asked about it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

yeah if you keep it up you will be fit in no time! but take time to relax and cool down too!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hi Lovin my Army Man (cute),

That exercise plan and diet will work for most anyone but its probably not one your going to stick with very long!. The second part of your question asks "Realistically, !. !. !. "!. Depending on what your currently doing it may or may not be realistic!. Are you currently doing close to that!? If the answer is no then your probably not going to stick with it for very long!.

Here are a few tips and strategies I would suggest!.

Write out a plan that your going to use and one that you can fit in to your schedule!.

Write out your diet that you can STICK with!. Not one that you'd love to follow!. I could tell you to eat fruits, veggies and lean sources of protein with every meal but if your not doing anything close to that then for me to suggest that its probably not going to happen and in a week you'll quit and go back to what you were eating before!. So, adjust SLIGHTLY what you are currently doing!.

Take photo's of yourself!. You don't have to have them printed and no one has to see them!. There just for you to track your progress!. Do not weight yourself daily/weekly!. Weigh yourself monthly and adjust if your not seeing the results you thought you'd see!. In other words your plan isn't working and you need to readjust your plan!. It was probably not the right plan for you!. Its not that your goals are wrong its that your plan to achieve those goals are wrong and need adjusting!.

I hope this helps and makes sense!.

Jesse

ps!. short intense workouts are better than longer less intense workouts for weight loss and fat loss !.

pss!. a workout routine would be a really lengthy email!. if you want a more detailed workout routine you'll have to send me an email!. good luckWww@Answer-Health@Com
