Question: How is sushi nutritious!? SERIOUS ANSWER please!.!?
Can any nutritionist answer my question:
I took food science class in my college as a pre-med & read that Japanese longevity is contributed by their healthy diet!. Knowing that sushi is a staple food for Japanese, how does it provide the basic nutrition, considering that sushi uses white rice that is less healthy than brown rice!?

Fact from my text: Japan is #1 country for average life expectancy according to World Health Organization 2006 statistics!. (78!.56 yrs old for men and 85!.52 yrs old for women)Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
- Fish is low fat, generally lower calorie than red and white meats!.
- Many fish are a good source of omega 3 fatty acids, very good HDLs that cut down on cholesterol!.
- White rice is easily digested carbs and starches that is also very low calorie food!.
- common sushi wraps such as seaweed is eaten fresh, is packed with phytochemicals that are proven to combat cancer and a lot of raw minerals and vitamins!.
- Japanese also eat a lot of raw and steamed vegetables, which are naturally higher than fried/boiled down versions in terms of nutrients!.
- Vegetables and rice are naturally high fiber foods, I believe, and high fiber lifestyles reduce the incidences of colon and lower GI tract cancers!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
