Answers:
once your body realizes it is not getting enough calories it will go into 'starvation mode' and slow down the amount of calories it burns in a day to conserve calories!. so yes it will screw with you metabolism!. you may lose some weight initially!. but as soon as you start eating normal again, your weight will come back and you even may even gain extra weight since your metabolism is slow!. eat healthy and exercise and you should be able to lose weight!. good sites to look at are self!.com and womenshealthmag!.com!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Believe it or not, you will not lose weigh faster on a 500 calorie diet!.

Reason: When you drop down to 500 calories, your body will go into survival mode and preserve what it has already, for as long as possible!. So your weight will remain the same for awhile, and then you will lose a few ounces, then remain the same and so on for quite some time!.

The only thing you will accomplish is ruining your health, much like bulemics and anorexics do!.

I would suggest going down to 1200 or 1000 calories per day, but not any lower than that!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You will lose weight but at what cost!? less than 500 calories per day would be considered anorexia and here are some of the side effects:

Feel weak, tired, or faint!.
Have thinning hair, dry skin, and brittle nails!.
Stop having menstrual periods!.
Feel cold all the time!.
Have low blood pressure and a slow heartbeat!.
Have purplish skin color on their arms and legs from poor blood flow!.
Have swollen feet and hands!.
Grow a layer of baby-fine hair all over their body!.

The best thing to do is see a doctor and talk to them about a sensible diet plan with balanced nutrition!. You could easily drop to 1500 calories per day and lose weight a healthy way, and yes, keep it off!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It's possible but not probable!.

Losing weight is a simple matter of numbers!. You need to burn more calories than you are eating in any given day!. Most people burn well over 500 calories in a day just doing normal activities, not an actual workout!. So chances are good that you would lose weight!. Keeping it off is going to be about maintaining that intake to output ratio!. You can start to eat more calories a day, but you should increase you workout time as well!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

YES you will lose weight, because it's only 1/4 of your normal caloric intake!. but i suggest you eat 1000 a day(trust me 500 is not enough) and then burn off 400 calories or something by exercising!. if you only eat 500 cals a day AND workout then you are buring off EVERYTHING you ate, and you will definitely lose weight, but i think that you should eat a little more than 500!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

This is NOT a good idea! It will totally mess up your metabolism, your body will think its starving it and store the fat as your body wont be used to such a low intake of food! So you will end up gaining weight instead plus theres noway it heathy to stay on 500 calories for a period of time and when u will go back to a normal calorie intake u will gain more weight that way also! My advice is to maybe have your 3 healthy meals everyday plus healthy snacks and excersize regularly! Although u dont have 2 be healthy eating all the time allow urself a treat otherwise u will feel deprived!! Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

You probably need to be exercising as well you probably have some fat in certain areas so even if your eating less it's not making a difference because theres fat that needs to be burned off!. And make sure the 500 calorie intake is HEALTHY intake!. I would cut it down to 1200 a day and exercise you could also lose weight just as well but you could eat more!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

if you cut your caloric intake by that much you may lose weight, but realize it'll be muscle first!. When you starve your body it attacks your muscles first to survive!. You can also mess up lots of other bodily functions ie!. period, mental chemicals, and many other issues!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'm no doctor, but i believe that if you drastically decrease your calorie intake your body will work against you and store more fat because your body thinks you will need it!. I think you should slow down and reduce calories in steps and exercise to burn that stored fat!. you'll probably feel better too (that few of calories is going to made you feel sluggish eventually)!. hope my opinion helps!Www@Answer-Health@Com

all the way to 500 a day!!? NO! your body will go into starvation mode and you might gain weight!!. Don't do that!. eat!. Youi need about 1500 calories a day!. so like 3 400 cal!. meals a day with 2 100 cal!. sancks (every 3 or 4 hours) this is to keep your matabolism going

If you cut 500 calories a day for 1 week you will lose 1 pound in a week not including exercise!.

Good LuckWww@Answer-Health@Com

500 calories a day can damage your health!. you will not lose weight as your body will store the fat because of what will seem to be lack of food to keep the body working!.

go to your doctor!. be weighed and assessed to start a proper diet!. they can even advise!.

eating sensible food and exercise will keep your weight static!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

yes it will ruin your metabolism once you loose the weight you want and go back to a regular caloric intake you will gain so much of it back, exercising more is always the best option, i wouldn't advise for you to drop your caloric intake to less than 1500 a day!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you only eat 500 calories a day, you will lose weight!. You will not completely ruin your metabolism, as long as you do not go right back to eating 2000 calories!. This will have to be done over a long period of time!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

well its better to drop your intake of calories slowly instead of fast because your body will get a shock and will think your running low on food so it will hold fatWww@Answer-Health@Com

You will lose weight, but you will get sick, you will gain it all back and you will ruin your metabolism!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

500 calories a day is not healthy!. If you
