Answers:

I can totally relate to this because I had been overweight a majority of my life. And many people would say oh you need to lose weight or tease me about how much I ate, like I didn't know. Hello, already know. Help me to do what I already know I need to do. First of all, I think you have to try to not listen to people when they say things to you. Or if you cannot, then say to yourself 7 positive things for each negative thing that you have heard. So if someone calls you fatso, then you say, well I know I am overweight now, but I am trying to lose weight. Then say I like my eyes, or I am smart, or I am a conscientious person. It sounds like you have been bombarded with negativity and that never helps to lose weight. A lot of us are emotional eaters anyway, when we feel down, we eat even more. It is a pretty bad cycle. Feel bad that you are overweight, eat more, gain more weight, feel worse... Anyway, so counter each negative with 7 positives. Surround yourself with helpful people like overeaters annonymous or something like that. Online is good but somehow it feels better when you are actually seeing the person who is supporting you. Even taking some classes at the community college would help with the interaction with people. Once you start to feel a bit better it should start to be easier to stop overeating. Before you eat something rich in calories or eat another helping of something try to think of how much better you would feel if you looked and felt physically better. Usually remembering what your goal is will help a lot to make better food choices. Then all you have left is exercise. You don't have to climb Mt Everest right now. But just walk. Even if it is only 5 minutes today. Tomorrow you can try to increase it to 10 minutes and so on. Just keep building. As soon as you feel comfortable with what you built up to, increase it again a bit. A friend of mine has lost about 100 pounds just by walking. She said the first time she did it, she could barely make it to the end of her street and she lives near that end of the street. But now she is walking a few miles a day. Just by adding each time she felt ok with what she had walked the day before. The important key that most people forget is consistency. You have to be healthy and live healthy for the rest of your life if you want to see lasting results.
