Question:

Really perplexing weight loss issue...?

ive been taking intense tennis lessons 2x/week and working out 1x/week. i cut all unhealthy foods from my diet. eating mainly vegetables, fruit, lean meat, whole grains. drinking lots of water. eating between 1200-1700 calories per day depending on exercise. (5' 6" approx 150 lbs.) gained 1/2 a pound after about 2 months of this regimen. what on EARTH is going on? lost weight on this exact diet last summer....

i do have a scale that measures body fat and it hasnt changed significantly and i dont think im working out SO much that im developing that much muscle..but maybe i am who knows...

im starting to think maybe im not eating enough...now that i think about it, my digestive system has sort of shut down in the last few days, im never hungry even after a workout and ive been skipping periods...


Answers:

Because you are working out, it is building muscle. Muscle weighs more than fat!
