Why did this happen?

Okay, well I been on a diet for 3 weeks now, I eat like 2,000 cal and exercise like 3 hours a day. I weighed today and I gained a pound!!!! why???????????????????


Answers:

I agree. You'll have lost fat and gained muscle. So you'll have re-distributed body-mass.
Nice thing is you won't keep on gaining muscle-weight on a regular exercise regime, -whereas without the excercise and diet you would keep putting on fat-weight.

Incidentally, dieting MAKES YOU FAT. Seriously, it's not how much you eat, it's what kind of food you eat. If all you've done is cut down to 2000 calories your body will have gone into "starvation mode" and will seek to store as much food in fat form as it can, -so, if you come off the diet, or binge, you'll balloon to worse than before.
Look up what to eat in (say) the GI Diet and fill up with that.
Lots of seafood, fruit, lean meat and fish, cottage cheeses, oat and bran, and dig into them until you're full. Imagine you're a cave-woman and eat what she would have eaten, and as much as you want. But NO JUNK!
