Answers:
It depends how quickly you want a flat stomach!? But I'd recommend a sit up routine every other day!. But I would scrap the equipment and do it old skool!. This should give you a great core strength and (depending on body fat) quickly lead to a flat, toned belly!.

Choose a reasonably paced song you like and do the following routine twice if you can, once if not:

Lying on your back with your knees up, pull your belly button in towards your spine - this engages your pelvic floor muscles (the ones you use to stop peeing) and makes sure your whole body benefits from the routine!. It also makes it easier to tone that stubbon lower belly under the belly button!.

Remember to breathe! You should be able to maintain the connection with your pelvic floor muscle, move and breathe all at the same time - although it might take some practice!.

From here put your hands behind your head and keeping in time with your song do 8 small sit ups (lifting your head and tops of your shoulders just off the ground - not too high)

Then 8 opposite elbow to knees alternating between left and right (don't worry if you can't reach it should be quite gentle)!.

Then 8 reaching your arms across your body to touch your knees (alternating)!.

Then put your hands between your legs and do 8 more sit ups reaching towards your feet (trying to get slightly higher this time)!.

Finally reach above your head into the air and do 8 final sit ups and then!.!.!. collapse!. You should be really tired and probably feeling the burn in your belly!.

Roll onto your stomach and do two sets of 8 back lifts (hands behind your head, lifting your head and shoulders and your feet)

It's very important to work the opposite muscles to wherever you want to achieve tone! If you don't you could end up stooped!.

You'll get toned very quickly doing this but remember - diet plays a massive role in this too as does cardio exercises - do at least twenty minutes of running three times a week and cut down sugary fatty foods and minimise carb intake after 4pm!.
You do need to feed your body to get results though so make sure you eat a healthy meal that includes some protein after any exercise!.

Good luck - feel free to email me if you need any more pointers!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I used an elliptical faithfully 3 to 4 times a week for 1 month and seen no results, except that I had more energy!. As soon as I started swimming, doing core workouts like pilates, and running, I noticed a drammatic change in my overall body within a month!! Whatever you do watch what you eat and workout at least 3 times a week!. They say that you can not target weight loss but that you will need lose overall to get a flat tummy!. Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

visit the gym 3 times a week for 3 months!. do ab crunches and treadmill!. for ab crunches, increase weight as you get used to it, and add more repetitions also if you want or if you feel like you need to burn more (for the abs)!. you may just spend like 20mins or less in the gym!.

I did this when i didn't have a job last year, worked fine but now belly is bulging again!. heheWww@Answer-Health@Com

you should work out 5X's per week!. you should try some crunches on the ball, planks, leg ups, do this for 30-45Min's per day!. if you do it more than that you can over do it!. and pull a muscle in your tummy!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
