Well, I guess it depends what you enjoy doing more!.!.!.!.so you'll stick with it!. Personally, I like the elliptical because it doesn't jar my knees!. However, I think the calorie readout on the ellitpcial is very generously high and you really don't burn as much as what the machine computs!. It is still very effective for cardio and less stress on the knees!.

However, I've taken up running to change up my elliptical training!. Mixing your cardio (biking, elliptical, dancing) is the best way to keep your body in condition!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Running is better because it keeps your heart rate up -> burns more calories!.
But then again Ellipticals are good because they go easy on your knees!.
If you get proper decent shoes, nothing expensive, then you won't have any problems with running!. Also, running 1mile is NOT the same as doing 1mile on the cross-trainer!. You have to do more on the cross-trainer -> twice as much work!
