Get fit quick?!

Question:

Get fit quick?

I am 30, have a slightly below average BMI, and have 1 child. I eat ok, but not fantastic. I have a toddler, and I am full time mum. What would be the best way for me to tone up/get fit - at home? I have little stamina but my heart is in it.

Answers:

You may find this very challenging but it's quick, easy and great for your aerobic/anaerobic systems as well as helping to build or at least maintain lean tissue.

Grab two light dumbbells (or any equally weighted objects of your choice) and stand with them by your shoulders in front of a clock. Now, for 20 seconds perform squats but as you return to standing press the weights over your head and then repeat. Once you have completed the 20 seconds rest for 10 seconds. Repeat this 8 times if you can (at first just do as many as you can). When you can complete this 8 times managing around 12-15 repetitions per set you should use heavier weights.

This workout will get you very fit and lean in just 4 minutes a day, 3 times a week. It's called the Tabata method after the Japanese scientist who invented it. Try it and you'll be amazed.
