Is the Atkins iet essentially a low carb diet?!


Question: Is the Atkins iet essentially a low carb diet!?
So if someoe were going on a low carb diet, they would basically be on the Atkins diet!?

It is a diet that concentrates on "refined carbohydrate" sugar, flour & high-fructose corb syrup "saturated fat" is considered overated as a nutritional problem and that only "trans fat" from sources like hydrogenated oils need to be avoided!. He rejected the food pyramid!. You should choose whole grains (no beans or legumes), limit red meat and some examples of foods you can have are almost all meats, shellfish, fowl, eggs,soft or semi soft chesse, brocolli, green beans, spinach & asaragus!. You should have at least 5 or more (optimally 9) servings of fruits and vegatables!. It has been referred to as the diet of "death"!. Mr!. Atkins died of head inuries due to fall on ice, not obesiety as some have said!.

The Atkins diet is different because you have phases and things of that nature!.!. Also Atkins is strict on Carbs unlike a regular " low carb diet"!. A regular low carb diet would just be eating low carbs verses Atkins where you are only allowed so many carbs a day!. I did the Atkins diet and it worked great for me!. Hmm, yeah kind of!. Atkins is more of a no carb diet!. It the long run this doesn't work because there are just too many things you miss out on!. And remember Dr!. Atkins died of a heart attack!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
