The "lemonade diet" is actually called the lemonade master cleanse and doesnt involve drinking lemonade at all!. Its actually a drink you make yourself (and water of course)!.

What the cleanse does: Without going into a lot of detail because this can take forever, it basically rids the toxins in your body that it collected because of the environment you live in (pollution, etc), junk food, pills (advil, etc!.), and so forth!.

Who should do it: Anyone who feels tired, pains in the body, ulcers, constipation, smokers who want to quit, basically anyone who wants to be as healthy as they can be!. Oh, and people who are overweight and want to lose weight fast!. People who do the cleanse feel better than ever 100% of the time!.

The ingredients:
Lemons (preferably organic)
Organic Grade B Maple Syrup
Cayenne Pepper
Spring Water
Laxative Tea
UNIODIZED Sea Salt


So let's start!!!

The night before starting this cleanse, you need to drink the laxative tea!.

The first thing after awaking in the morning is to drink sea salt water (2 teaspoons of sea salt and in lukewarm 32 ounces of water)!. You should wait for like an hour and a half before you drink the lemonade beverage in order to flush out your system of the toxins!.
If your still a student and have school it's recommended to take the laxative tea because if you take the sea salt water, you'll be in the bathroom in and out for the next hour and a half!.
YOU SHOULD AT LEAST DO THE SEA SALT WATER FLUSH ONCE A WEEK!. The laxative tea does make you go to the loo, but the sea salt flush fully cleanse the colon out!!

How to make ONE GLASS (10 ounces) of the lemon beverage:

2 tablespoons of FRESHLY SQUEEZED lemon juice!.
2 tablespoons of Grade B Maple Syrup!.
1/10 a teaspoon of cayenne pepper!.

You need to drink 6-12 glasses throughout the day and remember to drink water as well!.

Before you go to bed, drink the laxative tea!.

These steps will be repeatedly daily for as long as you go through with the cleanse!.

The minimum requirement for any effect is 10 days but, people can go on for 40 days and be perfectly fine!.
Don't worry, you won't diet!.


Detoxification Stages
Here is an overview of the detoxification stages during this cleanse!.

Stage 1 (Day 1 To Day 2)

On the first day of fasting, the blood sugar level drops below 70 mg/dl!. To restore the blood to the normal glucose level, liver glycogen is converted to glucose and released into the blood!. This reserve is enough for half a day!. The body then reduces the basal metabolic rate (BMR)!. The rate of internal chemical activity in resting tissue is lowered to conserve energy!. The heart slows and blood pressure is reduced!. Glycogen is pulled from the muscle causing some weakness!. The first wave of cleansing is usually the worst!.

Headaches, dizziness, nausea, bad breath, glazed eyes and a heavily coated tongue are signs of the first stage of cleansing!. Hunger can be the most intense in this period unless the enema is used which quickly assists the body into the fasting state by ending digestion in the colon!.

Stage 2 (Day 3 To Day 7)

Fats, composed of transformed fatty acids, are broken down to release glycerol from the gliceride molecules and are converted to glucose!. The skin may become oily as rancid oils are purged from the body!. People with problem-free skin may have a few days of pimples or even a boil!. A pallid complexion is also a sign of waste in the blood!. Ketones are formed by the incomplete oxidation of fats!. It is suspected that the ketones in the blood suppress the appetite by affecting the food-satiety center in the hypothalamus!. You may feel hungry for the first few days of the fast!. This effect is temporary!. The desire to eat will disappear!. Lack of hunger may last 40 to 60 days, depending on whether you are on water or juice!.

The body embraces the fast and the digestive system is able to take a much-needed rest, focusing all of its energies on cleansing and healing!. White blood cell and immune system activity increases!. You may feel pain in your lungs!. The cleansing organs and the lungs are in the process of being repaired!. Periodically, the lymphatic system expels mucoid matter through the nose or throat!. The volume excreted of this yellow-colored mucus can be shocking!. The sinuses go through periods of being clogged, then will totally clear!. The breath is still foul and the tongue coated!. Within the intestine, the colon is being repaired and impacted feces on the intestinal wall start to loosen!.

Stage 3 (Day 8 to Day 15)

On the latter part of an extended fast, you can experience enhanced energy, clear-mindedness and feel better than you have felt since childhood!. On the downside, old injuries may become irritated and painful!. This is a result of the body's increased ability to heal during fasting!. If you had broken your arm 10 years before, there is scar tissue around the break!. At the time of the break, the body's ability to heal was directly related to lifestyle!. If you lived on a junk-food diet, the body's natural healing ability was compromised!.

During fasting, the body's healing process is at optimum efficiency!. As the body scours for dead or damaged tissue, the lymphocytes enter the older, damaged tissue secreting substances to dissolve the damaged cells!. These substances irritate the nerves in the surrounding region and cause a reoccurrence of aches from previously injured areas that may have disappeared years earlier!. The pain is good as the body is completing the healing process!. The muscles may become tight and sore due to toxin irritation!. The legs can be the worst affected, as toxins accumulate in the legs!. Cankers are common in this stage due to the excessive bacteria in the mouth!. Daily gargling with salt and water will prevent or heal cankers!.

Stage 4 (Day 16 to Day 30)

The body is completely adapted to the fasting process!. There is more energy and clarity of mind!. Cleansing periods can be short with many days of feeling good in between!. There are days when the tongue is pink and the breath is fresh!. The healing work of the organs is being completed!. After the detoxification mechanisms have removed the causative agent or render it harmless, the body works at maximum capacity in tissue proliferation to replace damaged tissue!. While a short fast will reduce the symptoms, a longer fast can completely heal!. Homeostatic balance is at optimum levels!. The lymphatic system is clean except for a rare discharge of mucus through the nose or throat!. After day 20, the mind is affected!. Heightened clarity and emotional balance are felt at this time!. Memory and concentration improve!.

Stage 5 (Breaking the Fast)
The sticky, toxic, mucoid coating on the intestinal wall is loose, and the first meal frees it from the intestinal wall!. Toxins enter the blood through the colon!. The gallbladder dumps its waste in a heavy discharge of bile!. This can cause an instant bowel movement upon eating followed by intense diarrhea!. When breaking the cleanse, DO NOT EAT SOLID FOODS RIGHT AWAY!!
You have to prepare your stomach to start digesting the food that goes through your mouth

1st day: Several 8 oz!. glasses of orange juice as much as you desire!. If you eat right after the cleanse which I doubt since it takes away your appetite and you won't go all GA GA for food like you used to, you will throw up!. The orange juice prepares the digestive system to properly digest and assimilate regular food!. Drink it slowly!. Don't drown yourself in it!. If it's too heavy, you can dilute it with water!. When my mom drank the orange juice, she that it was God!. Heavenly blissful and the taste just booms up your taste buds, or so she says!. She was full the whole day after only drinking 3 glasses!.

2nd day: Same thing as first day!.

3rd day: Orange juice in the morning!. Raw fruit for lunch!. Fruit or raw vegetable salad for dinner!. You are now ready to eat normally!. Some people might still want to only drink orange juice until they feel ready to take in solid food!.

Good ol' Master Cleanse!. Well if you get the book you'll see the health benefits!. It's been around for some time now but it's just seeming to get popular!. I tried doing the cleanse but I got really bored of not eating!. You never really realize how much you eat until you're not!.

As far as the cleanse goes, starting off you're letting go of wastes!. Which can hold alot of harmful things in the body!. Depending on how long you do it, you will lose weight!. But probably not fat tissue!. Unless you're exercising (which shouldn't be vigorous) you probably won't lose the kind of weight you want!. When you finally come off the diet, more than likely, you'll gain all the weight back!. Sorry but it's true!. But on the other hand, for the health benefits it is good to clean out your system and give your body a break!. Also, on the bright side, you won't be hungry; that's one great thing!.

do u mean having only lemonade all the day with out having any solid food !?!?
if thats what u meant yah it is very healthy to do it once in a while !.
basically u r fasting all the day by only having lemon squeezed in water with 3,4 spoons of honey added!. fasting is good once in while --
- it helps reduce weight
- it gives rest to digestive system !.
- since digestive system will not have any work to grind the food n such ,the system concentrates on cleaning and repairing the body !.

so why lemonade !?
lemon water with honey ----lemon is nothig but vitamin c !.it helps the body in a big way to heal any infections(since the body now busy cleaning n repairing) etc !.it helps the body to do its work best !.

water-the water u drink cools up the body !.helps maintain the temparature of the body and body obviously needs water to keep it clean!.

honey - the best thing abt honey is, it gets into the blood as soon as it is consumed without being a burden to the digestive system !.so that way u get instant energy that could keep u up during u r fasting , while not disturbing the digestive system and its process of cleaning
