My friends all call me anorexic, and i dont know what to think?!


Question: My friends all call me anorexic, and i dont know what to think!?
are they kidding or are they serious!? i weigh 115 and i am 15 years old!. i dont eat breakfast and some days i dont eat breakfast or lunch!. but i eat when i want to, like snacks and lots of candy!. i do think i am fat sometimes!.!.!.well alot!. my friend told me (and this one is a guy so i guessed his opinion was diffrent than that of a girl) but he said i have a minor case of it!. all the other people who tell me are girls and to me they look the same size as me!.!.!.am i becoming anorexic!? or am i already and not know it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you go a day without eating on a regular basis, and skip meals often, then YEAH you could have an eating disorder!. Snacks and candy aren't healthy for you, and while you may be thin now, surviving on crap foods will catch up with you eventually, especially because your metabolism will slow waaaaaay down as an adult, and probably even more so in your case because of not eating regularly!. Start eating a HEALTHY well balanced diet!. Eat at regular intervals through out the day even if you don't feel hungry!. When you don't feed your body correctly and you skip meals often, after a while the body stops reacting to the hunger response and you don't feel hungry!. That's not good!. That means you are starving yourself (of nutrients, calories etc!.!.)!. Junk food is no substitute for a good, balanced diet!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It's all about how you feel about food!. Do you miss meals because you're not hungry or too busy or do you miss meals on purpose because you want to control your relationship with food!?

It's not necessarily about how much you weigh, but how you eat!.

When I was your age, I was constantly being teased about being too skinny/anorexic and I ate all of the time! It sound as though you do have a body image issue and if that's influencing how often you eat, then I may be concerned!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Your friends and you are not doctors!. If you are concerned about your body or your health have someone take you to a doctor!. I agree with the people here who are telling you that asking strangers for advice about your body is a bad idea!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I don't know about anorexic, but you do sound like you have some sort of body image issue that could escalate into an eating disorder someday!. Your friends are just worried about you!. You sound like a good weight for a 15-year-old, but if you keep thinking you're fat, you could become way too thin and very unhealthy!. Also, I eat a lot of snacks and candy too, but if that's all you're eating, that is very unhealthy and can lead to a lot of digestive troubles and other problems!. Please try to eat at least three balanced meals a day, and don't skip breakfast or lunch because that actually causes your metabolism to slow to a halt, so you're doing yourself a major disservice!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
