Is it really possible to gain weight from muscle gain?!

Question: Is it really possible to gain weight from muscle gain!?
I am a 26-year-old, 5'7" female!. As of last summer, I had lost about 15 lbs!. and I was at around 130!. This year I gained a bit back, so I started working out harder, doing some circuit training, etc!. I'm burning about 400-800 extra calories a day!. This is way more than I have ever exercised before, and I'm also definitely counting calories (though I have to eat a bit more than I used to now!)!.

My problem is, I'm not losing weight!. I am definitely more fit!. I have increased stamina, I can run much farther than before, and I have a lot more noticeable muscle (arms, legs, abs)!. But my numbers are still about 10 lbs!. over where I was!. Is it really possible that this is muscle mass!? Do I need to stop working out to get the scale to drop!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Muscle weighs more than fat so as you get more fit you may see some weight gain!. I don't think you should focus on a number on the scale so much as long as you are still fit, toned, and feel good!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

This is the reason pretty much anyone that works out a lot doesn't worry about the scale!. Muscle weighs more than fat!. Base your results on your gains in the weight room and how you look/feel!. Don't worry about the scale!. It's not a good indicator!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

heck ya!. muscle is way heavier than fat!. that is why when some people look up their bmi, it tells them they are overweight, when it is all muscle!. you lost that fat, and replaced it with muscle, which is heavier!. its ok!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes!. Very possible!. When I used to run track I weighed the same I do now, but I was 4 inches shorter!. I've lost some muscle hence losing some weight!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

bigger muscles weigh more than smaller muscles!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

yes it's possible!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
