Question: Are people born lactose intolerant, or can it be developed later in life!?
What are the symptoms of being lactose intolerant!? Is this ALL dairy or just certain things, and finally - how long does it typically take for symptoms to appear after ingesting dairy!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Lactose intolerance is caused by your bodies inability to produce (or produce enough) of the lactaze enzyme that digests lacotse!. One can be born lactose intolerant!. One can also develop the intolerance later in life!. Some dairy products can be worse than others on the system of someone who suffers with the disorder!. For me personally milk is the worst of all!. I don't have as hard a time with cheese and icecream!. The symptoms can be anything from mild discomfort to very violent stomach cramps and diarreah and vomiting!. The symptoms usually apper within about a half hour!. It can be dealt with by using a product such as lactaid!. These products are just the lactaze enzyme in pill form!. They are taken about a half hour before you eat dairy and they digest the lactose that is injested!. If you are having a hard time with dairy go to the store and purchase some lactaid and take it the next time you eat dairy and see if it helps!. Then you will know for sure if that is the problem!. Good Luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

It can just be milk, or it can be all dairy!. many people are born that way, but even more people develop it later in life!. I saw this on discovery, or some other type thing, most animals (including humans) can digest milk as children and babies, but as they get older their systems can't handle it anymore!. That's why some people can't drink milk any more!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

it can be developed because thats what my friend did!. When he was 10 milk was his favorite drink and now he cant have it, sucks a lot!. I think its very rare though!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
