Best Carbs to eat to gain mass?!

Best Carbs to eat to gain mass?

I use the macrobolic nutrition formula with the 6 meals a day to go along with my weight lifting regiment. The carbs I was eating which were great & the most effective were black beans, however they gave me horrible gas even after using beano. the other downside is i replaced the beans with brown rice, however i have not seen the same results that i did when i was on black beans. so my quesiton is can you tell me what is a good carb for the purpose im using them for (to gain weight & muscle), that is high in calories, carbs & protein is a plus but not as important as long as it is as effective as the beans. Part 2 of my question is...can you tell me what is in the black beans that made them so effective, in other words what ingredient should i look for in other foods that had that effect in beans, thanks.

It just depends on when you eat them. Simple carbs like, white rice and white bread are good for your post workout meal as they help the body recover by refueling your glycogen storage. For the rest of the day complex carbs like, sweet potatoes, whole grain pasta, beans, and other whole grain products are good to eat. Try to get at least 2 carbs per pound of body weight if your trying to build size. Below you can find the link to my page if you want to check my group out.
