Why do I get tired right after lunch?!


Question: Why do I get tired right after lunch!?
At work after I've finished lunch this huge sleepy spell falls over me and I can barely keep my head up!. But it's only after lunch and it las t for a good 45mins and then I'm wide a wake again!. Am I a lazy son of b****!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Do you eat breakfast!? I get that way regardless of what and how much I eat for lunch!. I know it's because I don't eat breakfast!. If I eat high carb lunch, it's worse, and there is a medical reason for that stated in a prior post (it's the endorphins)!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

haha!.!. no you're not a lazy sob, at least not because you get sleepy after lunch!. Look at what you're eating for lunch, if you have turkey or other foods that contain tryptophan it may be because of this!. Also, if you only eat a small breakfast (on the go type things), have a large lunch and no snacks in between, it's more than likely because you're body is expending its energy digesting your food!. Also, depending on how early you wake up, this could be a factor as well!. I would recommend eating a good breakfast full of protein, taking a snack to have between and then have a little smaller lunch!. Hope this helps!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Foods high in Saturated fat ( anything that turns to a solid when cold i!.e!. bacon grease) and carbohydrates (starches i!.e!. flour, cheese, etc!.) will make you sleepy!.

There are plenty of books out which explain all about high energy foods and they are meals that will satisfy the biggest of appetites too!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

No you're not at lazy son of a b*** lol!. Food is very comforting and satisfying so right after you eat you get that need to relax and just chill and who want's to go back to work right after satisfying your stomach!.!.!.specially a guy!? he, he!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Not a disease, but the food you are eating releases a relaxation chemical that makes you tired!. A lot of heavy based food such as fast Food, or a loaded sandwich, etc will do this to you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

What exactly are you eating!?
That happened to me before - if you're eating a lot of unnatural sugars, like in juice&stuff, that apparently was the problem for me!.

Eating some fruit instead helped me stay up!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

various reasons, could be what you are eating, could be your are eating too much, could be b/c you are eating a lot of refined carbs and your blood sugar is fluctuating !.!.!. lots of reasons !.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
