Help! i play basketball and my legs and thighs hurts!T_T?!

Question: Help! i play basketball and my legs and thighs hurts!T_T!?
i just made it in to our school's girls' basketball varsity team!. so we started our training last week!. after a few days, my thighs and the back of my legs are aching, that i can't do much in our training (like doing sprints and having games)!. sometimes i get nervous and embarrassed because i think our coach will regret making me a varsity!. so i really have to do my best and improve on what i love doing!.:]

now, should i start running/ jogging and practice shooting baskets or should i rest for a while until the aching is gone!?!?

**we do warm-ups before our training!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
That's normal when you first start playing at higher levels!.

When i was chosen for my area representative team i was so shocked by the increase in intensity, i nearly died after every training, i was sore for like 3 days after it, we did like heapsa pushups and suicides and stuff and i nearly fell to pieces, i always found that streching helps, and try resting for a couple of days, and icing the sore parts down!. Thats what i did, and you'll get used to it, and its all worth it when you win a national championship Trust me :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

same thing kind of happened to me when i started rugby training, i think it's mostly because you're using muscles that you haven't used in a while!.
make sure you stretch, you may have pulled your muscles if you didn't
ice them if it gets worseWww@Answer-Health@Com

icy/hot!!!!!
put it everywhere it hurts and massage it in!.
also drink a lot of water i dont know why, but it helps!.
and take ibuprofen!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

maybe you are overweight or just unfit!.
yeah, start some running or jogging!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Maybe your pushing yourself way too much on warm ups!.!.!. A little jog or stretch will do!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
