Several ways you are for one focusing on something other then what is making you anxious!. You are expanding the built up energy from said anxiety and you are deep breathing which also has a calming effect as does the exercise it's self because of the endorphins!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'm pretty high strung so if I don't exercise to the point of exhaustion I can't even fall asleep!. I think it definitely is a great way to relieve tension without drugs, although sometimes I really consider just going to a shrink to get some pills!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
