OK, some of these answers are pretty stupid and based on coincidences rather than science!. The reason why is because there is absolutely NO science or study that clearly states weight lifting stunts your growth!. Seriously, if anyone can find a real article on this, please show it to me!. For every short friend someone may have that weight lifts, think of all the tall athletes out there that have been lifting since their teenage years!. If anything, it helps strengthen your bones by letting them adapt to mechanical stress!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
No, in fact I'm a 14 year old that works out 3-4 times a week and I've seen amazing results and my growth seems the same as its always been!. As long as you don't lift more than your body can handle and do exercises with proper form your growth shouldn't be stunted at all!. (In fact your body releases growth hormone when you exercise!.)Www@Answer-Health@Com
yea dude my bro started lifting when he was ur age and now he is 17 and he is 5 '2! and we went to the doctor to see if he can get some type of steroids that will make my grow and get taller but they said it wont work!. so hes gonna be 5 '2 forever, until he gets old and senile and shrinks even more to like 4 '3Www@Answer-Health@Com
Not at all!. Just don't over train especially in the back and thighs it could stunt bone growth and cause fiber loss!. I know cuz im 14 as well and i occasionally talk with one of the trainers down there about this sorta thingWww@Answer-Health@Com
Yeh its all good if your height is pre determinded but its not so good if your body isnt able to grow to that height is it!.!.!?

no!. your height has already been pre-determined by genetics!. Usually only severe illness or glandular problem can affect that!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
