Why doesn't my regular cardio session burn fat anymore?!

Question: Why doesn't my regular cardio session burn fat anymore!?
I've started doing a weekly cardio session that lasts around an hour!. When I first started I found the workout really hard and was burning lots of fat but now the workout has become easy I'm not losing fat!.

I've thought about upping the intesity but then it occured to me that it'll only be a while before my body gets used to it again and I'll stop burning fat!. so what can I do!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

You're hitting what are called 'plateaus'!.
Its when your body adapts to the stress you're putting it under and you stop making progress!.

The best way to keep making progress are to up the intensity like you said, or, change up the routine entirely!.

My suggestion is try a little of both!.

Almost any exercise, when done intensely enough, will burn fat!. But one of the most recommended by professionals is something called interval training!.

Its basically short periods of intensity mixed with short periods of rest!. What this does is essentially smack your metabolism in the face to wake it up and force it to burn fat!. Here's a perfect example that worked for me:

1 minute - jog (warm up)
30 seconds - sprint
30 seconds - jog
30 seconds - sprint
30 seconds - jog
30 seconds - sprint
30 seconds - jog
30 seconds - sprint
1 minute - jog (cool down)

This entire workout lasts less than 6 minutes but will absolutely kick your butt!. When you sprint, go 100% full speed!. At the end, you can jog for longer if you'd like until your heart rate calms down a little!.

Do this everyday for a week and I will bet you anything you'll notice a difference over your hour-long cardio sessions!.

Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

you have to constantly increase the intensity of exercise!. this is how you force the body to become more efficient at exercise!. the easiest way to do this is to constantly increase the distance traveled each cardio session!. by performing more "work" each session your force the body to adapt and become more efficient!. say you travel 10 miles at level 5 in 60 minutes!. the next session the goal should be 10!.1 miles at level 5 in 60 minutes, then 10!.2, 10!.3, etc!. the greater the intensity of exercise the greater the increase in the metabolic rate there will be after exercise, where real fat loss takes place!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It's the hard part of working out when you're in shape!. Your body gets used to things too fast!. You'll always need to up the intensity or do interval training to increase the intensity of your workout!. Another option is to also workout on an empty stomach!. That burns more fat, but sometimes people get light headed!. Good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

dont do the same cardio all the time!
your body adapts to your workouts, which results in less fat burning!.
switch between running, doing the eliptical, going for a bike ride, swimming, and other stuff!.

plus do weight training!. if you do low intensity excersises for a longer period of time, you'll burn more fat!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You must constantly make each workout a little harder everyday, not just make it extremly harder for two weeks!. What will happen is exactly what you said, your body will get used to it and it will in turn have little effect on fat burning!. Always try to do more than what you think can each time your workout!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Either raise the intensity or find another method of getting cardio!. The rowing machine works wonders, trust me!Www@Answer-Health@Com
