Diet using oil and sugar water? Anyone know anything about it?!

Question: Diet using oil and sugar water!? Anyone know anything about it!?
Answers:
You are talking about the Shangri-La Diet!. I'm not sure drinking sugar water would be a good idea (though most people drink sodas, which is sugar water with a bunch of artificial colors and flavors - but not with favorable health results)

However, the low carb thing is gaining support!.

Actually I believe that what works best is making sure one eats the better carbs and avoids the not so good carbs!. Foods have been ranked based on something called glycemic indexing!. When we eat foods high on the 'glycemic index' our pancreas kicks out insulin, insulin turns to sugar and can get stored as fat!. Some things traditionally believed to be good diet food, like rice cakes, are extremely high on the glycemic index and can cause weight gain!. Popcorn is high too, lowered slightly by adding butter!. It's all in how our body digests and how the organs respond!.

Once you have a look over the lists of foods, it kind of makes!. The one thing I always caution people about is, if you pick up a book on glycemic indexing, ignore the stuff on artificial sweeteners!. They are chlorinated sugar molecules, neurotoxic (affect the brain), and still have the same body response as sugar - even though they are zero calorie - but still cause weight gain and an insulin response!. Very bad for diabetics!Www@Answer-Health@Com
