Home Gym vs Real Gym?!
Question: Home Gym vs Real Gym!?
Anybody out there ever used any of the bowflex products!? I am thinking about buying one and am not sure if they are very good!. I like using free weights at the gym, and the few times I've tried a bowflex, I didn't like it!. Do you get used to it!? Are there other options!? Should I just stick to having a gym membership!?Www@Answer-Health@Com
Answers:
i would stick to free weights at the gym for two reasons:
1) usually, a home gym will make you use it less!. since it is rite at ur house, u can eat some ice cream and then do a rep, and watch sum tv, and do anothe rep, etc!. You are also less likely to do it as often!. At the gym, you know you are there to work out and nothing else!.
and 2) a gym has more and better equipment!. A bowflex may have many machines built into one, but you have to readjust it every time you want to do another work out, and it just won't be the same as a machine that is specifically built for a particular workout!.
Also, if you like free weights, then keep doing those!. Lifting with free weights is much harder than using a machine because with free weights, each arm has to lift its own weight!. With a bar, since your lifting with both arms, your stronger arm can compensate for the weakness of of your weaker arm!. For example, if you are stronger in your right arm and are lifting a bar with weights, you can push more with your right arm and less with your left!. Whereas with free weights, you simply cannot do that!. Each arm has to lift the same amount!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
