im a 13 year old girl who has so many questions on her mind about fats, staturated fats, sodium, sugars, carb, and protein. Im trying to gain wieght and was wonderingif any one has accomplsihed this without gaininig fat, please i dont know what to do i take protien shakes and bars with breakfast every morninig. and i lift weights every other day. i really want to gain 17 lbs, but i dont want to turn fat. If any one has any iformation, and only serious information i need it please.
13 years old 5ft 5in and 102 lbs.

frankly you are 13 not 20, The other answer is absolutely correct that muscle does weight more by volume than fat. However I am going to make a suggestion to you do stop your present self program as it sounds really healthy. You are going to gain more and more Mother nature will see to that. You will put on more weight on your chest and on your back side as you become more and more womanly. Don't try to alter what is going to happen naturally. If you were 20 and asked this question I would tell you some thing else, but while you are still growing we surely don't want to do anything that might add to much and you have a real hard job trying to get rid of it. You might succeed but in the long run I feel like a lot of others that you are better off waiting to do some thing like that.
